Day 25: Making chocolate!

Writing this food and training diary has started to feel somewhat frustrating and time consuming, and that's why I have decided to change the style of this blog a little bit. I won't be writing food diary every day any longer ( I think you have already gotten pretty good idea of what I'm eating) and indstead I will focuse more on my feelings and experiences among paleo. I will  take photos and tell about the food that I'm eating, but I just don't find it necessary to report about every mouthfull. But I promise that I will be following the diet even if I won't be reporting about it! :)

So far I can say, that this diet has started to work for me. I don't feel at all tired or hungry and I absolutely love almost everything I eat! I'm also really happy that I don't need to eat every third or fourth hour anymore. I feel that now I really have time to focuse on everything else and then time to invest on those four or five meals. And what's really amazing is that I haven't even dreamed about sugary candies or stuff like that! I have even found myself recommeding this for other people O.o What is sad though is that people always seem to think that paleo must be very difficult to follow. But I'm telling you that it is NOT. It is very easy, easier than vegetarism I would say.

I'm also really happy, that paleo has brought some totally new incredients to my diet and I can already say that some of them are not leaving anymore! (I haven't made any decisions yet if I'm going to stick into this diet after the experiment or not.) I could mention for example coconut oil, almond pancakes, coconut milk and raw chocolate :D. I have also started to love the bacon breakfasts so much that propably I'm not going back to veggie either... It has also been really inspiring to notice that you can do all kind of great meals totally without dairy, grain or sugar. I have a long list of recipies, that I wan't to try, and I even decided to arrange a small paleo party on june, where I'm going to serve only paleo dishes. ^^

Today I made my own raw chocolate for the first time! I was so exited!! I even took some pictures of the project and I have to say that the result was really good! I even got some ideas how I could make different kind of confections next time I make these... Yey! :)

  2. Well, no we're talking.. :) I am also on a diet atm, and have avoided sugars/processed foods/grain. I mainly eat salad/chicken/minced beef/eggs/milk/vegetables. I'm even bit repelled by sugary treats and such. Once a week, or so, I eat for example a slice of bread and it tastes like pizza.. :D

What comes to grains/sugar.. I really feel that those foods cause addiction (which is kinda obvious but, just saying). Another obvious thing is that carbs really "ruin your day" -- they make you tired. So, the less you eat overall (can be done WITHOUT carbs with ease) and eat less carbs, you can push through the day like a steam locomotive.

Reports I would like to hear from your experiment compared to your pre-experiment experiences:
    - overall stamina (rest/training)
    - concentration/headaches/other "brain"-related things :D
    - intestine functionality/stomach
    - strength progress
    - muscular/skin/cosmetic progress
    - overall feelings/moods
    - tiredness
    - reactions to different foods
    - absolutely awesome recipes
    - things that are going better/worse
